Dating back to 1929 would you believe, this special edition Louis Poulsen PH 3½ -3 copper pendant light is being produced to mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of designer Poul Henningsen.
It joins a growing number of classic designs recently reissued with a copper finish, including the Jorn Utzon Tivoli pendant lamp, the Martinelli Luce Pipistrello table lamp and the Verner Panton Flowerpot ceiling light. Not that we're complaining, we are quite partial to a copper finish.
The light is only available to order from March through to May this year, offering a copper top shade, matched with an inner shade of spun aluminium and a lower shade of mouth-blown white opal glass. The holder is copper plated cast brass, with the fitting also engraved with 'PH 120' so everyone will know it's a limited edition.
A timeless design, but one that doesn't come cheap at £995.
