A design that has been in the range for a while, but the Kubrick midcentury modern wing back chair at Made has just returned in new shades.
It is a popular design too, popular enough for Made to produce a kids version of the Kubrick a few years back.
Sadly, the mini version for children is no more, but there are plenty of colour options for the full-size Kubrick as well as a few two-seater sofa options. Whatever the size, the design is much the same.
This is an armchair or wing back chair inspired by the middle of the 20th century. Big, bold and above all, with plenty of comfort for kicking back after a long day with a good book. Or even a nap.
A high back, those ‘wings’ to keep the chill off your neck (I think that was the reason for the original wing back chair) and some gentle sloping arms. All of that finished off with some button detail and of course, that staple of midcentury modern design, the tapered leg. A take on a classic that doesn’t break the bank.
The key differences (size aside) is your choice of colour. Whether you want subtlety in your living room, a big splash of something bright or perhaps a colour that hints at the original era of the 1950s or 1960s. They are all available to buy right now.
Talking of buying, Made seems to have a deal on right now, which would mean money off the sofas, but sadly not on the wing back chairs unless you buy more than one.
But before any discount, you are looking at £399 for all the chairs and £599 for the larger two-seater sofas. Colours change, but I expect the Kubrick to be in the Made range for some years to come.
