I love a rug especially when they look as good as the Inaluxe retro abstract rugs, which are ideal for a 1950s or 1960s interior and are now in the sale.
These are at La Redoute, which immediately pops up a flag that they aren’t going to be as expensive as rugs at some of the more premium retailers we might have featured in the past. But they still look the part.
In fact, if you have a midcentury interior or want a room to be influenced by that era, these are certainly worth checking out. Rugs are a wonderful finishing touch for a room and, in a way, a piece of art for the floor, adding some character and colour to what can often be a rather dull part of the room.
You certainly get patterns and colours from this Inaluxe range. There are eight abstract wool rugs that could all pass for the 1950s or ‘60s originals here, with a choice ranging from monochrome patterns to brightly coloured shapes. I want them all. In fact, if I could be bothered (and had the storage space), I could have a different one each day – plus for special occasions. But obviously, that’s not going to happen so I’ll just choose the one.
You can choose from all the rugs here, named Shipping News, Night Sky, Jazz Flute (love that name), Fabrique, Crystal Palace, Composition, Colour Fall or Coda II.
They are all available online, and the rugs are available in different sizes. The size does make a difference to the price, but all are on sale at La Redoute right now with a massive 30 per cent off. You can now get one for just £182.
