Something a little more ‘out there’ from Topshop, but as the retailer is currently hosting a Mod Girl collection, we perhaps shouldn’t be too surprised to see something like this Loulou skirt and blouse by Sister Jane on the shelves.
Actually, this is probably a little later in influence than mod, looking more like a late 1960s, perhaps even early ‘70s design. Definitely the latter part of swinging London. Sold separately and designed to be worn either on their own or together (for the full effect), both have a crochet body, with detailing in denim for the trim and pockets.
It’s a bold design and if you can carry it off, you can get it in sizes small medium and large for £52 (top) and £45 (skirt).
