If we were pushed on thew issue, we would always say that the 1967 Levi’s Type III was our favourite denim jacket. But that’s a lot pricier than the Brutus Gold vintage-style denim trucker jacket.
Yes, Brutus, a name synonymous with denim in the UK in the 1960s and ‘70s. The label went away, bit returned a few years ago with its trademark Trimfit shirts https://www.retrotogo.com/2009/06/brutus-1960s-style-trimfit-shirts-hit-the-stores.html, following up with more clothing and more recently, a return to denim production.
The jacket here has the look of a vintage piece, but is actually new and produced in the same factory as the originals all those years ago. It is a Type II jacket, one with Brutus Gold doughnut buttons, hand warmer pockets, Brutus Gold chest bar and side adjusters. it is made from a light 10.5oz denim.
Talking of light, this one is fairly light on your pocket compared to other brands too, selling for £80.
