Whilst browsing the classic cars section of eBay, I encountered something rather unexpected – a listing for this VW Beetle garden bench.
According to the seller, it is (or was) made from 'new parts', finished in a hard wearing paint, with the timber protected by outdoor primer and two coats of gloss. So should be strong enough to withstand some wear from the elements.
The seller adds that it is 'easy to assemble', the headlights can be illumined and bespoke cushions can be made if required. It can also be used indoors if you protect the base against your floor.
All in all, the kind of talking point that a VW obsessive might want in their home or garden – although some might have a very different view of a car being used in this way! If you lean towards the former view, it's currently at £56 as I type.
