If (like us) you are a fan of the label's wonderful Scandinavian designs, you'll no doubt want to secure yourself a copy of Marimekko: In Patterns, which is published by Chronicle Books.
You probably know more than you think about Marimekko already, with the designs of the Finnish company literally all over the place these days – not to mention pieces that have used those designs for inspiration.
This book looks at both the past and the present, with the upcoming 248-page book said to be 'richly illustrated' with photographs and prints of the label's work. It also offers a 'behind-the-scenes tour' of Marimekko's creative process and features on the people behind the designs from the 1950s onwards, along with rare sketchbook pages, in-depth looks at particular eras and of course, the designs themselves.
