If you are still on the hunt for a genuine vintage record player, then do check out this 1950s Dansette Major Deluxe record player on eBay.
Dating from 1959 to be precise and still with its ‘50s covering, with the blue exterior having been ‘enhanced’ to bring out the original colour. This is also a rarer model, with this Major Deluxe player only produced over 1958 and 1959.
The seller has stripped and cleaned this model, as well as servicing the single valve amplifier and replacing any parts no longer up to scratch. A new power cable has also been added, the original cartridge reconditioned and the turntable lubricated and tested. In short, this is ready to go, but do check the listing for the complete breakdown of work.
Note that this Dansette isn’t one of those that takes the legs. Look elsewhere if that’s what you need. But if this one catches your eye, the price right now is at £51.
