A much-loved 1960s oddity, the Mini Moke is returning to production as an electric vehicle.
Originally based on the classic Mini, it was intended as a military vehicle, but actually made its name as a quirky car and/or beach buggy back in the day. It’s still a much-loved ‘car’ and secondhand models in good condition can fetch good money.
Alternatively, you can now get a new one via Moke America, which is producing the electric e-Moke, which will have a top speed of 25mph and a range of 40 miles. One with a traditional engine should follow, able to reach a much higher 65mph. Both have the same 1960s look we all know and love.
Pre-orders are now being taken, with a price of $15,975 for the entry-level model. Summer should see the first models on the road.

Note also that a company called Moke International is also reproducing the Mini Moke and judging by the name, should have wider distribution. See its site here. Both companies are separate entities.
