Another lovely little Fiat has popped up on eBay. This restored 1965 Fiat 500F.
According to the seller, this model was first produced back in 1965, with this one recently brought over from Terni in Southern Umbria, having been owned for 20 years by the then owner.
It was regularly serviced by that owner, but more serious work was undertaken around 12 months ago, with an engine rebuild, which followed a ‘full sympathetic’ respray and some bodywork. The car still has the original windows, wheels and black ‘targa’ convertible top, while the red seating with black trim is in ‘like new’ condition. It also has recent hubcaps and bumpers and new chrome rear light casing. Oh yes, that white steering wheel and round ’speedo’ too.
Faults are a ‘small chip’ to the paintwork on one of the door edges (shown in a picture on the listing) and the headlight casings are ‘slightly pitted’.
But it does have a UK MOT in June 2017 which shows no advisories and a low mileage of 80,000km / 49,000 miles.
