A proper auction for this refurbished 1960s Dansette Senator record player on eBay, should you like the look of it.
You just might too, as a lot of work has gone into this one, in terms of both the look and the inner workings.
This 1962 model has been re-covered in a new red ‘rexine’ leatherette material which perhaps accounts for that new look at first glance.
The playing deck has been cleaned, lubricated and adjusted, the valve amplifier checked and had new components fitted where necessary including capacitors and resistors. It is also fitted with a modern stylus and cartridge and the player comes with a plug-in Bluetooth device which allows you to play music from your phone, tablet or other similar device.
One thing to note is that the stand / legs are not included in the sale, but are available for an additional £45. As for the player, no bids so far and an opening price of £9.99.
