Fancy some 1980s nostalgia in your home? Check out the Ikea Fargstark pendant lamp, which is part of a retro reissues range at the Swedish superstore.
It is ‘80s nostalgia too, coming from a range that’s all about the 1970s and 1980s. Yes, Ikea is going retro for a limited time.
From October, Ikea will be launching a limited edition range of favourites that have been ‘brought back to life’, with a strong emphasis on the 1970s and 1980s. Some reworked pieces, others brought out of the archive. The range is bold, colourful and above all fun. If that’s what your home is lacking, you are in for a treat and as it’s Ikea, at an affordable price.
The range is still coming together, but one of the key designs to make its way back to the shelves is the Ikea Fargstark pendant lamp. Unashamedly 1980s, but this is actually a pendant light that puts me in mind of the Bauhaus movement. I don’t know whether that’s because of the shape of the pendant or the colours selected for this reissue.
But what I do know is that I love this one and can see this colourful pendant being a must-have when it lands on the Ikea shelves in a couple of months.
Take your pick from a bright yellow, fiery red and cool cobalt blue, with each selling for a very palatable £25 each. When I get details of the rest of the range, you will be the first to know.
