Plenty of competition in this sector right now, but the midcentury vinyl storage units by Scott Cassin are up there with any of them.
You know the score, midcentury modern design pieces that are custom built to store your vinyl. Which is why I love them so much. Purely as pieces of interior design, these units are appealing. But add in the vinyl story option and they are veery desirable.
Each one is handmade, produced from sapele mahogany and each takes inspiration from design of the 1960s. Also a good amount of surface for a deck on top too, although how much depends on the choice of unit, as there is quite a range of sizes.
To give you an idea, I’ve added in a few images of the different storage units available. Sadly, the amount of records that fit in isn’t mentioned, but you can probably get a fair idea looking at the images. The one at the top of the page certainly packs them in, adding in room for some components too if you need it.
Alternatively, go for a unit that maximises vinyl storage, more compact units for more compact spaces (of course), different wood options if you prefer something lighter like oak or even units that are designs to hold your audio kit rather than your vinyl. Choice of legs too, including midcentury tapered wooden legs or industrial metal legs.
Basically, there are plenty of options, so hopefully one that suits your space or needs. Each is handmade to order, so don’t expect it straight away. As for prices, they vary from around £565 upwards.
