We were quite taken by the Karla Chair by Swoon Editions recently. However, that was just the tip of the iceberg, with a new midcentury-style range just hitting the shelves too, consisting of the Grace sofa and armchair, along with the Zoe armchair.
The design above is obviously the two-seater Grace sofa, a 1960s-inspired piece with contrast or matching button-back detailing, stylish curves and tapered wooden legs. You can use the same description for the armchair too, with both offered in very limited numbers and in charcoal, pale grey or light ochre.
The other design is the Zoe chair, another design inspired by the mid-20th century, but this time with a more 'square' profile, but keeping the button back and tapered legs, this time in as walnut finish. Take your pick from ochre or pale grey shade for the upholstery.
Again, it's a limited edition. For the record, there are just 15 of the Grace Chair available, 5 of the Grace sofas, with the Zoe chair in an edition of 10. All are made in conjunction with a company established in Denmark in 1955 and all are surprisingly cheap.
£299 is the price of the Grace chair, £499 is the price of the Grace sofa and £299 gets you as Zoe armchair. You can order the designs from 9th December at the Swoon Editions website.
