Now this looks good and if you need a stream of hot drinks, this Smeg 1950s-style filter coffee machine will be useful too.
Due to hit the shelves before the end of the year, this is a typical filter coffee machine, but with the added appeal of Smeg’s trademark retro style.
The new item is part of a selection to celebrate Smeg’s 70th anniversary. Yes it has been around that long, although you do tend to think of it as a late 20th century phenomena.
It’s also the Smeg brand’s second excursion into coffee machines. As you might know, they already produce a machine for espresso and pods.
But this is a machine for those who want constant coffee on the go. The filter coffee machine offers two levels of coffee (light or intense), a keep warm mode, adjustable water hardness settings, an alarm after brewing and the ability to make up to 1.25 litres of coffee at a time.
Oh and of course it looks good no matter which colour you choose. A you can see from the images here, there are a lot of colours too, so hopefully something that will fit in with your kitchen colour scheme. With black and white in the range as well as the bold colours, it’s pretty much certain something will.
I suspect these will be on the shelves in a matter of weeks, just in case someone wants to add it to their Christmas lists. As for price, that has been confirmed at £179.95. Expect John Lewis to be stocking it first.
