I mentioned the Tardis in my top 25 retro decorations round-up. But that was just one of the Doctor Who Christmas decorations by Kurt Adler.
Kurt Adler (which is actually a company rather than a person) has been making Christmas decorations commercially since the 1940s, with the Doctor Who decorations more of a recent tradition.
You see, this isn’t a range for this year, it has been making decorations that appeal to Who obsessives for the last few years, with some now out of the official range, but still available to buy (in some cases, for a little more money).
The problem is that you can see the current range at the Adler store (based in the US), but you can’t actually buy there. On the plus side, most of the decorations are available to buy via Amazon, which is definitely good news if you want them fast.
A browse of what is available includes all the classics and icons of Doctor Who you can see here, such as a gift set of four Daleks (retailing for £18.32 for the four), a Tardis (£6.53), a larger and more decorative Dalek (£8.60), a five-piece set of classics (£25), a K-9 ornament (now out of the range, so pricier at £27.25), a glass Cybermen ornament (£7.71), Tom Baker (£8.99) and a more festive ornament with wreath for £19.95.
If you really want to go to town, there is also a set of Tardis fairy lights available. Too much? Possibly. But not too much for me.
Have a browse of all of it at the Kurt Adler at Amazon store.
