Hopefully, you can find the Krokuslilja 1960s-style duvet cover at Ikea because I really wouldn’t want to ask for it.
Then again, with a duvet cover and pillowcase set this bold, you really should see it from a distance.
I really need to update my best retro design pieces at Ikea article as stock comes and goes so quickly. It was some time ago that I did the round-up and if I did it again, this one would definitely make the cut.
It’s one of those designs that could pass for an original. If I saw some hip couple’s bed covered in this in a back issue of Homes and Gardens in 1968, I would fall for it and covet it. Thankfully, I don’t need a time machine in this case as this cover and matching pillowcase covers is available in your local Ikea store and if you don’t fancy queuing for the car park, online as well.
It’s blue, it’s green, it’s circular and it a marvellous piece of op-art design that would be the ideal finishing touch for any retro bedroom. Especially one with a smattering of 1960s (or 1960s-inspired) design pieces around the place.
What I would say is if you like the look of it, get in quick. From past experience, duvet covers don’t seem to hang around in the range forever and not everything tends to get restocked. Although this has been around a little while now.
There is one other big selling point of this duvet set, which is the price. Of course, it is, it’s an Ikea design. Three different sizes are available, all priced from just £15. An absolute steal.
