You could go original George Nelson or you could save money with the George Nelson-style Sputnik wall clock at Made.
Of course, if you have the money, a George Nelson clock is a midcentury modern classic. I have featured most designs on the site in the past, with this one not a million miles away from the Nelson Ball Clock in black, which will cost you £300 if you picked it up from Heals.
This one is hasn’t the same complexity of design, but it has the look and more importantly, it’s available for a fraction of the price of a licensed George Nelson design.
The clock is a mix of black and brass, with long decorative spokes spreading out from the small face. In total, it’s about 50cm height and width. Presumably, a battery powering it too, although that’s not mentioned in the details.
What is mentioned is the price. That’s a bargain £29, plus free delivery too. Not bad at all if you need that midcentury modern finishing touch without a hole in your bank balance.
