You tend to see these by smaller independent makers, but this Amelia retro vinyl credenza at Urban Outfitters brings it to the high street.
Actually, not quite to the high street as this vinyl storage unit is an online exclusive rather than being sold in any store. It also seems to be a popular one, with stock almost sold out despite it only being online for a short time.
Perhaps it’s because this is quite a versatile unit. My favourite vinyl storage cabinet is the 1960s-style Ronda cabinet at La Redoute, which is designed purely for your records and player.
However, this is a little less stylised and although capable of storing a good number of records, is versatile enough to be used for storing pretty much anything as well as doubling up as a media unit – especially with the cable hole in the back.
A light wood, subtly-tapered legs and a low profile. All of which work in my book. That’s a mango wood by the way, in case you are wondering. £399 is the price if it appeals.
