There aren’t many retro-looking beds around, but the Sancal Tea Bed meets that descriptions – and it certainly makes quite a statement.
Whereas many retro-influenced beds rely on the subtle Midcentury angled legs for their retro style, this one makes more of an impact, with an oversided upholstered headboard. The upholstery is in an arresting shade of orange with a hexagonal pattern, which suggests a psychedelic love nest. The bed has a tilting back for maximum comfort if you are reading or watching TV in bed. It costs just under £2,500.
