This is the small (and light) VP9 version of the 1968 classic, which has been used a ceiling light, as a floor lamp and a table light of different sizes. But all have one thing in common. Wires.

The lamp keeps Panton’s classic Flowerpot shape, throwing in a new set of colours to choose from, a mix of retro and some ‘now’ shades. So hopefully, one of those will match your room. If it doesn’t, just carry it into another room.
The lamp, which is around 30cm tall, is made of polycarbonate and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. How does it get power? It uses micro-USB charging. So you do need a wire for that, but once you have charged the battery within you get something like 11 hours of battery life. Considering you aren’t going to have it on for 11-hour runs (I wouldn’t have thought) it should be good for a few days of light wherever you want it.
One other thing – the steel touch dimmer located above the lampshade adjusts the intensity of the light from anywhere between 100 per cent and 20 per cent, depending on how much of a mood you want to create.
