It's a design that oozes 60s style (with a price tag to match). But although it was designed back in that decade, the Manzu armchair from Alias has only just gone into production.
It's the work of Italian designer Pio Manzu, known for his automobile designs, as well as for the Chronotime clock. However, he never finished this chair – the prototype was discovered by his son, albeit missing a base. By looking at photographs, they've worked to complete the design as they believe Manzu would have wanted it. The result is a striking slice of 60s design, showing the influence of his work for the car industry.
The chair has been given a very luxurious finish too – available in either a natural leather or black leather finish – with a price tag to match. It will set you back £5229.
