Going back almost 40 years and these were everywhere. Now the 1980s Lyle & Scott x Stuarts London v-neck sweaters are back.
In fact, back for a second time. These were a limited edition 6 or 7 months back, after which they sold out. Now they are bak on the shelves, but made of lambswool rather than merino. But still limited editions that are made in Italy and sold in presentation boxes.
Of course, they weren’t a collaboration with Stuarts of London back in the 1980s. The retailer, which is well-known for its heritage labels, has played a part in bringing them back. And I’m glad they have done too.
It’s a look of an era, but these old school sweaters are also practical pieces too, especially with the temperatures dropping. Built to last of course. As long as you look after them. Like all the best knitwear.
As I said, a reissue of a 1980s design, this one has the original large golden eagle logo on the chest, as well as returning in 1980s shades for the colour options. You can see all of those here.
So retro appeal a massive selling point. Should be warm though, with each of the limited-edition sweaters made of lambswool. Talking of construction. each has ribbed hem, cuffs and neckline alongside the oversized logo.
If you want one, all are available now. selling for £160 each. More colours than the ones shown here too, should you want to browse the full range at the retailer’s site.
