Yes, you did read that right. You can now get an Adidas Originals Superstar Lego set, sold in an Adidas shoe box.
I know, it’s a mad idea. But if you are a big fan or a collector of Adidas, you will want this one. I suspect this will be a future rarity.
You might know that Lego has an Adidas Collection available right now (or vice versa), which is a mix of clothing and footwear inspired by the iconic brick. If you want to check it out, you can see it here and also at the Adidas site if you want the adult designs too.
But the set you see here is a one-off. This is a 731-piece set of an iconic Adidas shoe. One that has been in the range since 1969 and designed as a basketball shoe back in the day. But famous rubber ‘shell toe’ has crossed over into popular culture, most notably when rap legends Run DMC sported them in the 1980s (and beyond). Once you have finished making the shoe (which I suspect is a long job and down as an adults-only task too) you can set it on its own stand featuring key facts about it.
