The much-loved Amaya budget midcentury modern floor lamp at La Redoute is back in stock and even better, it is also discounted.
It sold out incredibly quickly last time, not least because it looks very much like a vintage original. I think that’s the selling point here. This could be straight out of the pages of an old interiors magazine. So, that and the price of course, which I’ll come to in a moment.
This is perfect if you want something that looks like it belongs in a 1950s midcentury modern design feature. It doesn’t try too hard but does all the right things. Understated and cool.
The minimal metal frame in black, the three arms and those vintage-style shades in three colours, which is very much a 1950s touch. Bold designs in lighting were something that came in during the 1960s and especially as we entered the 1970s.
But in the 1950s it was nice and simple, with a splash of colour offering the impact. Less is more if you like.
If the idea of some 1950s lighting without breaking the bank is you this really is a no-brainer from a retailer that often gets it right in terms of retro and vintage-style design.
That price? You can pick this one up for just £79.20 right now due to a sale being on. Which is great value in my book.
Keep it quiet and your visitors might well think this is a vintage piece. As for size, it stands at 155cm tall, which is just over 5ft and in terms of availability, you can order now, but if it’s anything like last time, expect it to sell out quickly.
Hm. This does not appear to be on their website at all…..
Hello how can I order this still please
