If you know someone who loves the era, then these handmade swinging sixties dolls by Mama Bea Makes could be the perfect gift.
Yes, they look great, and each has its own personality. But they have a couple of other selling points. First, each is handmade, so each is effectively unique. And secondly, they don’t cost a fortune. This rather cool and quirky gift doesn’t break the bank.
A good few are available right now – although it would only take a couple of sales to change that.
Have a look at the ones here (and on the site) to see which one might appeal to you or the intended recipient. As I said, all are unique, but all have similarities too.
Each stands around 31cm tall (roughly the size of an old school ruler), with the maker Mama Bea hand-cutting all the parts, with faces also hand embroidered, the dress made from vintage fabric, hair made from leftover felt from other projects, the legs are also made from cotton offcuts, and each is filled with 100 per cent hi-loft polyester toy stuffing.
I think you might have noticed another selling point there, too – plenty of recycling happens to make each doll.
Want one? Each doll sells for between £25 and £28.
