Not content with bringing us a Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera set, you can now build a retro camera in Lego, too.

And even better, this is a cheapie, too. At least compared to a few of the retro sets Lego has produced of late. Oh yes, it’s a three-in-one set as well, so if you get bored of the camera, there are other models available as well. So plenty of plusses here.

The headline act is the ability to create a good-looking retro camera. But if you want more, there’s also the option to build a couple more retro pieces – a retro video camera or a retro TV with an antenna.

The camera features a moving lens, buttons on the top to take a photo, an opening back to place a brick-built piece of film inside and a multicoloured textile strap to carry it. Very well thought out and something most ages could tackle. This is an 8+ set made up of 261 pieces.

And as you can see, it’s a nice thing to have on display after. In fact, it’s perfect to sit alongside that Polaroid if you decide to take that on just after Christmas.

As I said, an affordable set, retailing for just £17.99. I suspect a good introduction to making Lego models if you want to fill some of the time during these cold winter evenings.
