I say 90s, but this was probably retro when it was first spotted back in the 1990s. The look is more 60s than 90s, but it was the 1990s that gave us this top when Noel Gallagher wore something very similar in the Oasis video, Don’t Look Back In Anger. Hence the name.
It’s not exactly the same—the original had a larger collar rather than a bomber jacket collar. You can see a picture of that on the maker’s website if you want to do a compare-and-contrast. But that’s no bad thing—I think it works better with that collar, operating as both a piece of knitwear and an impromptu jacket, track top, or layer.
The construction is a mix of cotton and polyester, so it’s quite light and ideal for the time of year. The main body is brown, plus those contrasting coloured stripes. There are plenty of sizes as well.
