If I had the wall space, I would be all over these. Sadly, I don't, so instead, I'm flagging up this 1950s Tomado midcentury-modern modular shelving unit here.
Love the colours, which make it for me. Bauhaus colours? I think they could be. According to the seller, it is out of Holland and dates from somewhere between 1950 and 1960. Still in 'very good overall condition' too, with original paint and just 'minimal signs of usage'.
All parts are said to be genuine and labelled 'Tomado Holland', with a total of eight large uprights, two smaller uprights, 14 coloured shelves, two metal shelves and one 'rare' perforated basket.
They come from a larger stock, so changes in configuration are possible. The price isn't cheap at £400 – but this is likely to look stunning in the right home or room.
