We featured one of these on the site way back in 2008. We're flagging this one up as the 1960s Artemide Nesso table lamp by Giancarlo Mattioli on eBay is up for a fraction of the price of a new reissue.
The lamp was designed in 1967 by Giancarlo Mattioli, a great example of the space age style. It has a body and diffuser made of injection moulded ABS thermoplastic and when turns on, really does glow.
The orange of the stronger of the two colours (the other being white) and a new (official) reissue sells well upwards of £150. This one is at £45 right now.
