Never previously manufactured, this CH163 sofa by Hans J. Wegner has been plucked from the archives and put into production.
Yes, Carl Hansen & Son have taken the dust covers off this particular design which dates to 1965. The CH163 is the three-seater sofa pictured but there's also a two-seater version available known as the CH162. Both share a couple of unusual features. First of all, there's the lack of fixed upholstery, at that time still quite unusual. Then there's the torch-like shape to the wood of the armrests, a nice little design touch. In fact the whole thing oozes class and luxury.
A good thing too. The three-seater version pictured, in dark brown walnut and leather seats, will set you back a luxurious £5864.
