Anyone who likes antiques and collectables will beer aware of the Miller's guides. The latest one sounds right up the street of this site too – Miller's 20th Century Design: The Definitive Illustrated Sourcebook.
This 304-page book, available in a more modest 246 x 210mm format, explains the key designs and designers from the last century – over 1000 design icons including furniture, glass, ceramics, metalware, textiles and more, alongside photography, hints and tips and price ranges, should you be in the market for one of the pieces here.
Basically, if you want to get an insight into 20th century design, this is a great place to start. It's published on 1st June, officially for £15, although Amazon is doing pre-orders for a more modest £7.80.
