As part of Heal’s London Design Festival, their flagship store on Tottenham Court Road will host a pop-up Marimekko shop betwen 17 and 25 September.
The centrepiece of ths shop will be the exclusive Heal’s Mistral sofa and armchair upholstered in Marimekko fabric. As well as being able to buy items from Marimekko’s home accessories range, you will be able to see the Marimekko ‘Scare Owl’ as features in the new Marimekko book “Surrur, Make Your Own Marimekko” – I’m not entirely sure what this is, but it sounds intriguing! Another highlight of the week-long event will be a talk on 20 September by Wallpaper’s Editor at Large Henrietta Thompson entitled “Why Blonds Have More Fun: 60 Years of Scandinavian Design”.
