Stylish and with a modest footprint. Of course, this mid-century wall desk from West Elm is right up my street.
Need a desk? I suppose we all do now and again. Some of us more than others. Personally I would be lost without mine, but if I’m honest, it isn’t the most attractive out there, but it does the job.
That’s not the case with the mid-century wall desk from West Elm. Yes, it still does the job, offering a reasonable amount of desk space, which is likely to be enough if you need to write a quick letter or want to unfold the laptop. If your needs are greater, perhaps check out one of the other retro desks I have featured in the past. There is a lot in the archive. Or have a look at the similar standalone mid-century mini desk.
But if your needs require a desk that doesn’t take up too much of a footprint, this one might fit the bill. In addition to offering that desk space, it also has single drawer storage and a double sliding door cabinet above for even more space. All wrapped up in design that could pass for a mid-20th century original. Even the drawer pulls seem authentic.
If you have the wall space, the mid-century wall desk is available now at John Lewis for £599.
