We really love this fully restored 1965 VW Splitscreen Camper Van. But it certainly doesn’t come cheap.
1965 is the year of ‘birth’, but the van was reborn four years ago when the restoration took place. At that time, the van was painted in VW Anthrocite Grey and Tioga White, with a seemingly endless list of work undertaken too.
That includes enhanced suspension, a re-built gearbox, a re-built engine (which has done around 50 miles since fitted), re-trimmed seats and door cards, a gas heater installed, a genuine Easycool fridge added, a music system (which connects to a smartphone) added and much, much more. See the listing for the full breakdown.
The seller claims it is ‘rock-solid underneath’ and in ‘excellent condition throughout’. Essentially it’s good to go if you fancy a jaunt.
Before you do that, there’s the small matter of the price. £28,500 is the ‘Buy It Now’ price, with the option to make a cheaper offer if you prefer.
