This really is something special if you love a classic British car, a 1972 Ford Capri Mk1 3000 GT replica. It looks like it has just come off the production line.
Of course, that’s not the case. The Capri has long departed the Ford range. This example has been fully restored and rebuilt, starting life as a 1300 model but upgraded to a 3000 HT replica, not least with the addition of a re-bored and re-conditioned 3 litre Essex engine.
So many other additions too, including a 2.8 5-speed gearbox, new genuine wings, doors and a 3-litre bonnet, 3-litre back axle, RS wheels, power steering and a paint job in original sunset red.
All of that was completed back in 2009, with a cat regularly seen on the show circuit since. If this is the kind of car you have lusted after for years, it is time to check the bank balance.
Why? Well bidding has already hit the £8,500 mark.
