Yesterday we featured an art deco house that was pretty much still in its original state. Today, we have the flipside – this 1930s art deco house in Porth, Cornwall.
Details on its history are scarce, but was almost certainly the seaside retreat of someone with plenty of spare cash all those years ago, renovated (possibly over-renovated) with an interior that's straight out of the modern era.
Some features survive, notably the exterior shape, the curved window bays and possibly the original fireplaces (going by the photos), but everything else looks pretty modern – the drawing room, sitting room, utility room, kitchen/diner, four bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms and the family bathroom.
There's also a garage, plenty of excess parking for cars and the real selling point – sea views of Porth Beach. All of that for offers around £645,000.
