Hulger x Broken Hearts retro-styled Two Tone DJ P*Phone

Hulger

Fancy yourself as a superstar DJ, but still want to keep your retro cool? You need the Hulger x Broken Hearts Two Tone DJ P*Phone.

Yes, it's one of those phones that DJs use to cue up records, just plug it into the mixer and hear the point where the tune starts. Ok, that's a fairly niche use, but luckily the DJ P*Phone has more versatility, hooking up with your mobile phone too, should you want the comfort and convenience of an old school handset when you make a long call.

A special edition in two colour schemes (black on white or white on black), £60 will secure you one.

eBay watch: 1970s Hornyphon radio flip clock

Hornyphon

I don't know if it's really called a radio flip clock in its native land, but that brand is certainly the Hornyphon (no laughing at the back) and it's the bargain of the moment on eBay.

It's got a superb 70s space age look, complete with that old school flip clock, LW and MW radio and a choice of radio or a buzzer to get you up. According to the seller, there's even an 'orange light', which we presume shines on the controls.

In very good condition (for its age), the Hornyphon is available with less than two days to go at just £1 plus your postage from Germany. Told you it was a bargain. Check out the listing for many more images.

Alan Fletcher: Fifty years of graphic work (and play) at Manchester’s Cube

Fletcher2

In our formative years (well, 2006 to be precise), we covered the Design Museum's retrospective of influential 20th century graphic designer Alan Fletcher. If you missed that and happen to be in the Manchester area, you can check out Alan Fletcher: Fifty years of graphic work (and play) at Manchester's Cube.

Described as ‘one of the giants of 20th Century design’ by the Guardian, Fletcher's work touched all areas, creating brand identities for everyone from Pirelli to the V&A, not to mention giants like Penguin, Reuters and Shell, as well as transforming book design as consultant art editor to Phaidon Press.

Aimee Wilder Robot and Analog Bandages at Urban Outfitters

Aimee1

Regular readers will know that we're big fans of Aimee Wilder, her screen prints and cushions as well as Aimee's distinctive wallpaper. But we hope you never need to use the Aimee Wilder Robot and Analog Bandages.

Not that we're opposed to you buying them. On the contrary, if you're going to have bandages in your house, these are the ones to be seen with, packing those bold old school robot and cassette designs that should raise a smile – even if you happen to be in a spot of pain.

These should be landing in Urban Outfitters in the coming weeks, keep an eye on the website or in your local store. More images over the page.
