John Lewis Leather Bowling Bag

Jl bowling

Bowling apparel found its way into mainstream fashion culture in the 1950s and it hasn't left it since. The most enduring item has to be the bowling bag, constantly reinvented with enduring retro style. This Leather Bowling Bag from John Lewis is another reinvention in that long line.

Shown here in 'coral', this orange patent leather gives the bag a great late 60s/early 70s edge. Ideal for use as a handbag or weekend bag with either mod looks or a more casual seventies vibe, this is an adaptable style that's enduring in its retro appeal.

Manuel X-body Satchel from Ollie & Nic

Manuel

Classic, well made satchels never quite go out of style. A great unisex choice, this leather cross-body satchel from Ollie & Nic has all the company's usual retro flare and great craftsmanship.

The Manuel satchel is easy to wear and convenient thanks to the X-body design, and the deep chocolate leather shade gives it a great look. Despite a magnetic fastening, they've kept some of the classic features like tab fastener design, and rigid, heavy duty stitching. The girly addition of a charm can easily be removed for unisex use.

It's available from Ollie & Nic for £125.

Wham Baam duffle bag

Duffle bag2

How could we resist a product with a name like the Wham Baam duffle bag? This bag from Urban Outfitters is clearly inspired by Roy Lichtenstein style Pop Art in both its choice of name and with its graphic print. However, the peach or yellow colours on offer give it an oh-so-fashionable eighties look. The wipe clean finish maintains the fantastic plastic feel.

It's quite large at 45cm wide by 30.5cm high, so it will certainly make an impression. It's currently on sale too, reduced from £48 to £34.99.
