Colomba 1970s-style Peace Race cycling jersey

Colomba

Not an obvious design from the archives, but the Colomba Peace Race cycling jersey does pack some 70s cool.

It's based on a 1974 jersey worn by the leading team in the Peace Race (a kind of amateur eastern European Tour de France), mixing Merino wool and polyester for a blend of old and new, as well as offering a flock print logo, an embroidered logo on the arms, back lined front zip, three large rear pockets and a water-resistant valuables pocket.

Choose from sizes small through to extra large, all selling for £59.

1960s Helkama Jopo bicycle is back in blue

Jopo_blue

We did feature this around 12 months back, but as it's one of favourite bikes and it's back for 2009 in a new colourway, we feel justified in mentioning once more the Helkama Jopo bicycle.

It was first introduced in its native Finland back in 1965 as a 'bike for all', returning in the modern era with a sympathetic update, but still packing the key classic features – low front frame, 24-inch wheels, single gear, luggage carrier and kickstand, plus the ability to adjust the seat and the handlebar to fit most sizes. And for the mean streets of 2009, it now has an integrated lock.

379 Euros will secure you a new Jopo in black and blue – and make you the envy of your friends.

Fiat 500 C soft-top convertible gets priced for UK

500c

Still not bought a Fiat 500? Well, with summer on its way, there's a new model to consider, the Fiat 500 C.

As you can see, this is the soft-top convertible version, that large canvas roof folding back if you want to take in some rays on those rare sunny days. Two versions are on offer, the Pop and Lounge. Both offer a 'power operated' hood, air-conditioning, a CD/MP3 player, seven airbags and electric door mirrors, while the extra outlay for the Lounge throws in climate control, stability control, fog lights, Bluetooth phone kit and communications package and rear parking sensors.

Engine sizes are 1.2, 1.3 diesel or 1.4, with 11 colour options, a matching or contrast roof and a choice of fabric or leather interior. The Pop sells from £11,300, with the Lounge selling from £12,700. If you want to know more, check out the website or your local Fiat dealer.

Raleigh Chopper Wallet

Chopper wallet

The Raleigh Chopper bike has become an icon of the 1970s and has been featured on mugs, t-shirts and bags. To complete the look, it's now available on a wallet.

This wallet isn't a design classic in itself, being a very simple fold-out printed design on canvas, but the price – a mere £9.99 – makes it a good gift purchase for retro bike fans.

“Mrs Moon” Bookmark

Moon_aquapinkfloral

Rather than just using whatever is to hand as a bookmark, (usually an old bus or cinema ticket in my case), a proper bookmark would look better and Acorn and Will have a selection made using vintage fabric.

Named after the favourite teacher of one of the site’s owners, the Mrs Moon Bookmark is one of Acorn and Will’s best selling products.

They cost £4.50 each and are available a wide choice of patterns. Visit the Acorn and Will website to buy.

Fiat 500 Barbie special edition

Fiat_barbie

Barbie is 50 years old – and to celebrate, Fiat has teamed up with Mattel to produce a special Barbie edition of its Fiat 500.

Of course, the car comes in shocking pink only, complete with matching pink interior, along with pink and white seats. And for that special touch, there are even crystals on the hub caps, outer window moldings and antenna, along with a 'cover' that replicates the 1960s version of the car. Under the bonnet, it's just your average 500 we presume.

Check out the Edmunds site for more images (especially of the interior). How much? That's not clear as yet, although it might become clear after next week's official launch in Milan.
