Limited edition Jason King print by Piper Gates Design

Jason1

More quirky, retro-styled artwork from Piper Gates Design, this time a limited edition Jason King print.

Yes, everyone's favourite moustachioed 1960s dandy is the inspiration for this print, with the look of the print based on Giannetto Coppla's work for Penguin Books, with 'a dash of Peter Blake'.

The size of the print is 30cm x 40cm and printed on very high quality 200 gram paper. Just 45 copies printed, you can grab one online for a bargain £6.99. See the image in a frame over the page.

New trailer: The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn

We have covered Tintin on here in the past, not least because we're big Tintin fans. We've also reviewed the old Tintin live action movies of the 1960s – Tintin and the Blue Oranges and Tintin and the Mystery of the Golden Fleece. So we're more then keen to see what The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn turns out like.

The movie is a big Hollywood affair, directed by Steven Spielberg no less, although we're more appreciative of the fact that Joe Cornish (of Adam and Joe) has a writing credit, so despite the big budget, we're hopeful it might well be a fitting tribute to the original comic strip.

Saying that, the real life-like animation might take some getting used to. Check out the trailer now below, with the big screen date set at October 26th 2011.

Visage wallpaper featuring Marilyn Monroe

Visage wallpaper
She's one of the most iconic of Hollywood stars – and now thanks, to this Visage wallpaper, you can have Marilyn Monroe in your home whenever and wherever you want her.

Part of the Albany catwalk range that also features retro clocks that we showed you last week, this wallpaper design reproduces the image of a youthful looking Marilyn, alongside some almost indecipherable text reading 'strike a pose'. There's a choice of two colourways available, both of which nod to the glamour of the big screen. Take your pick from black and grey with metallic inks, or chocolate and gold.

The paper costs £19.99.

Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design

Delia

From the people who gave us the likes of the Joy Division and Syd Barrett colouring books, not to mention the Prisoner and Bedazzled posters comes the Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design.

Who is Delia Derbyshire you ask? Well, you're unlikely to know unless you are a Doctor Who or vintage electronica fan. She was a pioneer of the latter and best-known for her work as part of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, where she produced the famous Doctor Who theme, amongst other things.

This suitably '60s poster is limited to 45 copies, sized at 500mm x 700mm and printed on very high quality 194 gram paper, each one signed by the artist. £22.99 gets you one. See a shot of the poster on a wall over the page.
