Breakfast At Tiffany’s plays across UK cinemas on Valentine’s Day

Breakfasttiffanys

Looking for somewhere to take the love of your life this Valentine's Day? You could take he or she to the cinema, taking in a one-day only showing of the 60s classic Breakfast At Tiffany's, which is hitting the big screen nationwide, courtesy of the BFI.

Directed by Blake Edwards and starring George Peppard, Patricia Neal and of course, Audrey Hepburn in her iconic role as Holly Golightly, it's the classic tale of two 'bohemians' falling in love against a Manhattan backdrop – Peppard playing aspiring writer Paul Varjak, Hepburn the party girl with a hidden past.

Want to know where it's playing? Check out over the page for the full breakdown – or if you don't fancy going out, you could always buy yourself a DVD copy for under a fiver.

Pure Evil Hammer Twins print

Hammer-Twins

Art inspired by classic Some Hammer Horror film inspired art here, with the Hammer Twins print from East London street artist Pure Evil.

The giclee print is based around the poster artwork for the 1971 film Twins of Evil (apparently released as the Evil Twins in the UK). It's Pure Evil's favourite Hammer film, with the vampire (and evil) theme having an obvious link with his well known 'vampire bunnies' graffiti.

A limited edition of 10, with each signed by the artist, it costs £215 unframed or £275 framed.

Cult 1970s Roobarb and Custard cartoon becomes book series

Roobarb

To be honest, I could have sworn Roobarb and Custard was originally a book, but apparently that wasn't the case. So the forthcoming book series of Roobarb and Custard by Mogzilla is a rather interesting first.

According to Mogzilla, the original scripts have been adapted into a series of colourful books, 32 pages for each one of When Custard was Grounded, When Roobarb found the Hieroglyphics and When there was a Pottery Party.

Which means they're ideal for kids, as well as the big kids who remember the Grange Caveley characters, or indeed, the Cadbury Roobarb and Custard chocolate bar, first time round. Heading your way in March 2010, each one will retail for £5.99.

Cheers to @NigelLBevan for flagging up what looks like being a must-see movie early next year – Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.

Yes, you've probably guessed this is the movie version of Ian Dury's life – from being struck down with polio at the age of seven through to his lige as an artist and of course, as a musician on the pub rock and early punk scene of the 70s and into the 1980s with The Blockheads.

Starring Andy Serkis, Naomie Harris and Ray Winstone, it's in cimemas from January 8th 2010 – check out the trailer below.
