Two Tone label coasters

Twotone_coasters Following on from the Sex Pistols coasters we featured a while back, here’s something similar from a slightly different era – Two Tone label coasters.

A set of four coasters, printed ‘using the latest sublimation techniques’ and each featuring an inner single label from a Two Tone release, with a coaster each from The Specials, The Beat, The Selecter and Madness.

Good for nostalgia and good for adding a quirky touch to your living room, they retail for £5.95 per set.

Bake your own Lego building block cake

Lego_cake
Thanks to Karen for finding this retro twist on the traditional birthday cake – the Lego building block cake.

It’s featured on the Betty Crocker site, but you should be able to bake the cake using any mix (or base ingredients if you know how to), icing, food colouring and some marshmallows.

Not exactly healthy eating, but once a year, I’m sure your body could cope with the sugar rush.

Sex Pistols coasters

Pistols_coasters
There’s nothing very rebellious about a cup of tea, but you could add a spot of anarchy with these Sex Pistols coasters.

Yes, from frightening local councillors to saving your best coffee table in 30 years. There’s four coasters in the set, each featuring an image from a Sex Pistols release. They might still frighten your Gran, but they’ll also add a smart twist to something that’s usually very mundane.

A set retails for £7.99. And if you prefer The Clash, there’s a set for that band too.
