Love Hate teapot by Welovekaoru

LovehateteapotLooking for a teapot with a bit more attitude than the usual designs? Check out the Love Hate teapot from Welovekarou.

The design is inspired by the 1955 film The Night of the Hunter and the Love/Hate tattoos across character Harry Powell's knuckles. One side of the teapot shows Love, illustrated by a traditional tattoo style heart and doves. The other side of course shows hate – portrayed by a dagger going through a heart. Something to ponder over a pot of tea!

The teapot costs £60 while you can get the same design on a cup and saucer for £28 for a cup and saucer.

Sex, Tea and Rock n Roll Tea Bags

Discotassesextearocknroll
This is possibly one of the silliest items I’ve seen in some time, but Christmas is coming and we are partial to a cup of tea, so I thought I would share these with you.

The Sex, Tea and Rock n Roll Tea Bags are part of the Tea Party series by German company Donkey Products. Quite simply, each tea bag has a cardboard image of a famous person instead of the the usual string and tab. In this case, the characters are icons from music; Elvis, Hendrix, Lennon, Jackson and Marley. There is also a classic film themed set consisting of Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Charlie Chaplin and I’m guessing Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's monster, as well as other themes such as politics, peace, Christmas and royalty.

A set of five tea party bags costs €7.95 (around £7) from Donkey Products.

John Lewis Revival tablecloth

Revival tablecloth

We've included quite a few pieces already from the John Lewis Revival range. To add to the mugsfurniture and vases, you can now purchase this Revival tablecloth

Like the Pots and Pans mug, the tablecloth features an illustration of vintage style crockery which has, in this case, been supplemented by images of kitchen implements, vintage-looking storage jars and Catherine Holm-style saucepans. The pattern is illustrated in a manner to reflect the '50s and '60s tableware pictured.

Made from a cotton and polyester mix, the tablecloth is available in a range of sizes. You can supplement the look with placemats and coasters featuring the same design.

Prices for the tablecloth range from between £19 to £21 dependent on size.

The Vintage Table

Product17Having a lot of people around for afternoon tea? Let The Vintage Table lighten the load.

The Vintage Table supplies crockery for hire for events around London, the twist being – as you might expect from the name – that the crockery is all vintage. It ranges in date from the 1920s through to the '60s and includes such charming gems as the coffee pot pictured which is from the 1930s.  The service grew out of the personal ceramics collection of the owner Claire and has no doubt been helped along by her antique dealer father.

The company offers the hire, set-up and styling and even washing-up, if desired. To give you an idea of price, hire of crockery for afternoon tea for 50 people costs £240.

Vinyl chopping board

Chopping board
As well as coasters, book-ends, Christmas tree decorations and actually listening to the stuff, it seems there's another vinyl-inspired item available for the home: this vinyl chopping board.

Yes, this board comes in the shape of a traditional vinyl record. Rather than having the song title and artist on the label, it's decorated with a nice, bright picture of a tomato instead. You won't be able to put it on a turntable but it's sure to inspire hours of music relating pun fun as you are chopping up your onions,

This slice of kitchen fun costs £15.
