Repeat Repeat is the award winning design company set up by designers Gillian Naylor and Mark Faulkner. New to their range is the Eden collection, a set of bone china mugs decorated with Fifties-inspired floral patterns.

Pictured here is the Sun Burst print. The designs use the same palette of colours, but where this one is predominantly brown, the Dandelion design is mainly red and the Dancing Flower is blue. As well as the patterns, the mugs have a great extra large handle, making it easier to pick up.

They cost £10.50 each and can be ordered online from the Repeat Repeat website.

Steptoes Dog Antiques has a small selection of Vintage Egg Slicers currently available to buy on their website. Vintage egg slicers do look pretty much the same as modern egg slicers, but if you really want everything in your kitchen to be retro, then here is the place to buy your egg slicer!

At the time of writing there are two egg slicers from the 1960s, in bright green or orange plastic,and an aluminium slicer dating back to 1938, all complete with their original boxes. There is also a white egg slicer from the 1970s that does look rather different from the others, but that does not have a box. Prices range from £9.54 for the 1970s one, £14.14 for the 1960s versions up to £21.04 for the 1930s slicer.

For sale on the Joanna Wood website are a set of plates and a set of mugs decorated with illustrations of 1950s models on colourful backgrounds. The patterns are rather too busy for my tastes, but the same images of the girls have been used on these Girls-a-Go-Go Glasses to a much better effect.

There are four designs in the set, each featuring a Fifties model in a glamorous outfit. The glasses are highball style. The price quoted on the website is £15.95, but apparently there is a 10% discount made when you check out, bringing the price down to £14.36.

If I had room in my house for a dedicated film screening room, I would definitely be adding the Movie Time Popcorn Cart to the furnishings.

The cart has been designed to look just like the old-fashioned popcorn carts once found in cinemas, but has been specifically created by Nostalgia Electrics for home use. Blomus designs kitchenware that just oozes style. The Copo Teapot is a great example of their simple but sophisticated look, but it also has a retro look to it that some of their other products lack.

The white teapot has an unusual retro shape but given a modern twist with the steel handle and lid. There is also a matching creamer and sugar bowl with spoon to complete the set. There can’t be a more stylish way to take your afternoon tea!

There are bargains to be had on the high street at the moment. Assuming you aren’t bored of the ubiquitous target pattern and are looking for some new mugs, things don’t come much cheaper than the LSA Centro Mug.

Available in a choice of hot (yellows and reds) or cool (blues and greens) colours, these large porcelain mugs are being sold at a reduced price of just £1 by John Lewis.
