We’ve featured several products based on the work of textile designer Alexander Girard’s in the past, but that is no reason to not show another one – Girard Children’s T-Shirts.
The prints on these tops include some of Girard’s best known designs, which feature his signature mixture of folk art and bright colours.
They are available exclusively from Modernseed, priced $18 (approximately £10). They are suitable for children ages 4 and up. Sadly, they don’t make them for adults!
Audi has reissued its 1930s Type C sports car – as a child’s pedal car.
But this isn’t any old pedal car, this is every bit the period classic – a 1:12 scale model of the original, made from aluminium with a red leather trim. And the attention to detail is amazing – over 900 individual parts, which includes hydraulic dual-disc brakes, a removable steering wheel, and bespoke spoked wheels.
Just 999 are being made, which you can order via your local Audi dealer. But before you do order one, be aware that this will cost you around £6,700.

‘Get Real’ is a product series of all natural sweets from Blue Q. Lovely retro looking tins, and little candies with a big taste.
The lemon ginger variety pictured on the right is made from sugar cane juice, real lemon essential oil, ginger root powder and very little else (as they are super natural, natch).

New online store Oli doesn’t offer much that is hugely different from what is already available in catalogues or on the high street, but we did spot this Retro Traffic Duvet Set.
With its brightly coloured pictures of VW Beetles, Minis and camper vans, it is a tad more stylish than the Disney characters or football team duvets sets usually offered for kids’ rooms. And it is never too early to introduce youngsters to the classic vehicles of the past.
The duvet set costs £15 and matching curtains are available from £25 at the Oli website.
