Anarchy baby romper suit

Anarchy_romper

A while back, we featured Stardust’s punk clothing for kids. Well, they’re not the only people making your little people look hip, check out these Anarchy baby romper suits from Rockabye Baby.

Handmade and made from 100 per cent cotton, they feature a soft flock anarchy print and are available in five colour schemes. And even better – they’ll come gift-wrapped in record sleeve paper if you’re sending one as a gift.

Available online (along some more rock-inspired designs), the romper suit retails for around £17.

Retro_babyshoes
It’s not just a matter of nipping down to Mothercare to kit out your small child, they have to be trendy from day one. And if footwear is a problem, check out these retro baby shoes from Jellybabys.

With more than a hint of Converse about them, the shoes are available in sizes up to 18 months, are handmade in England and feature an elasticated ankle to make sure they stay in place. They are made from naturally soft leather and have a non-skid suede sole, which should help the early walkers. Each pair also comes in a gift box.

Ikea PS Lomsk – child’s Ball Chair

Ikea_lomsk
Another take on the Ball Chair – following from on from the Ball Chair with speakers comes the Ikea PS Lomsk – a circular seat aimed very much at children.

Designed by Monika Mulder, it’s made of reinforced plastic, with a fabric hood that makes an ideal place for a child to hide (but thin enough to let in the light). And to add to the fun, it even spins round.

Sized at 59cm (w) x 62cm (d) x 75cm (h), it probably needs a cushion for comfort – but with the chair retailing for just £34.90, you should be able to afford one.

Stardust – punk clothing for kids

Stardust_tshirts

Let’s be honest, kids don’t have a say in their clothes at an early age, so you’re able to inflict your tastes on them without any comeback. So how about dressing your kids in punk gear? You can with Stardust’s punk children range.

T-shirts, baby-grows and slippers, all with that familiar punk imagery. There’s a range of designs to choose from, including the two above. And if punk isn’t your thing, there’s even a goth range (including a Sisters Of Mercy baby-grow) and an Elvis range.

T-shirts retail for around £12.50. Check on the site for the prices of other items.

Razor Pocket Mod kids retro scooter

Pocketmod

We’ve already covered the Zoomer Scooter and the Balance Scooter – now here’s another option if you want to get your kids scootering at an early age – the Razor Pocket Mod scooter.

The makers describe it as "reminiscent of the classic Mod-era Italian Vespa". I wouldn’t go that far, but it’s certainly got a hint of a vintage scoot, as well as 12-inch pneumatic tyres, rear suspension, a top speed of 15mph and up to 10 miles riding from a single charge.

Sadly, it’s only available in a girly pink. Available now for ages 12+, it retails for £249.99.
