Etoile Nina cushion

Nina-cushion_heather_b

This Nina cushion from Etoile could have come straight out of the Big Biba store and is perfect for creating an exotic, laid back look for your lounge. The linen/cotton mix adds to the quality feel.

It's really only the eye popping colour that gives it away as a contemporary design. For an even bolder look the pattern also comes in a hot pink colourway, although the cautious will be pleased to hear it's also available in navy and black. The cushion comes in two sizes: 45 x 45cm, which costs £32.50, or 55 x 55cm at £38.

SuperHeadz Demekin Fisheye 110 Camera

Demekin

We loved the first SuperHeadz camera, the vintage-styled Blackbird Fly – and we're equally smitten with its latest budget camera, the SuperHeadz Demekin Fisheye 110 Camera.

Yes, a Fisheye, much like the Lomo Fisheye camera (and the Paul Smith Fisheye), offering up circular-style photography as if seen through the eye of a fish – rather like many 1960s LP sleeves.

Unbelievably small (2 inches square), it still offers up features including a 1/100 shutter speed, f/8.9 wide angle aperture, 1:13.5 lens and room for some 110 film (not included). Indeed, the camera is almost as small as the price, which is just $38. Sadly, we've not seen it in the UK as yet – but here's hoping.

Roy of the Rovers comic returns

Rovers

It's not been on the shelves since 1995, but from tomorrow (April 1st), you can buy a new edition of the classic Roy of the Rovers comic – as a one-off special edition.

It's being revived by magazine publisher Egmont as a 64-page collector's magazine, obviously featuring football icon Roy Race and Melchester Rovers, as well as other comic strips from the comic's golden years – including Billy's Boots, Hot Shot Hamish, the Hard Man and Goalkeeper. There's no news about the actual stories – I'm intrigued to know if Roy is still playing, seeing as he lost his foot back in 1993. Then again, there's always the option of a false limb.

Find out from tomorrow – you'll find it at WH Smith (exclusively), priced at £3.99. Maybe you can slip it into your Roy of the Rovers holdall?

Ikea Blanko modernist-styled outdoor stool

Blanko

Remember the Ikea Frosta? It was a budget-priced stool 'influenced' by the classic Alvar Aalto Stool 60. And available for just £10. Well, now the same company has done something similar for the outdoors – the Ikea Blanko outdoor stool.

It has that same Aalto look, but this time it's designed for the outdoors and made of steel rather than wood, a polyester powder coating protecting it from the elements. Aside from that, the Blanko has plastic 'feet', a hole in the centre for draining off rainwater and is designed to stack and stand steady at all times – even on a lawn.

Choose from black or white, priced at £6.99. Yes, you did read that right.
