Hans Wegner 1940s CH 25 armchair

Ch25

Most conservatory furniture tends to be cheap and made of whicker – that's not the case with the the Hans Wegner CH 25 armchair.

Whether you use it in our glass extension or in your living room, it's still a stylish item. Designed in 1949 and produced by Carl Hansen, the chair has a papercord seat and back, attached to an oak frame with a light or dark finish. And there's that distinctive shape, with the steep incline and broad armrests, perfect for kicking back into.

Prices start at around £1,590.

Fortuna Maxi all in one from Coast

Coast fortuna

Looking for a one buy way to 70s lounge chic? It's undeniably one of the retro styles that is less en vogue at the moment, but when you get it right it can be stunning. This Fortuna Maxi all in one from Coast is a great looking, easy way to get the style without looking like you're in fancy dress.

Thanks to the simple black of this item, it's easily adaptable for a decadent loungewear style, or even for a seventies disco feel. The billowing chiffon style material and cut make for a great silhouette, while the cinched waist and vest top feel make this easy to wear.

It's available from Coast for £145.

Typewriter Tote Bag

Typewritertote

As much as I love the look of old-fashioned typewriters and the idea of bashing out my magnum opus on one, I don’t think I’d give up the convenience of the computer. So the closest I’ll get to one of those old machines is where their image adorns another product, such as this Typewriter Tote Bag.

Designed by The Bold Banana, the picture of vintage typewriter has been screenprinted in black ink onto a natural canvas tote.

It costs a very reasonable $8 plus $3.50 postage (less if you are in Canada or the USA). It is available to buy from The Bold Banana’s Etsy store.

Teacup Tile Hook

15879323_10_d

Design Glut has created the Teacup Tile Hook, which needs little explanation – it is a tile hook in the shape of a traditional teacup.

The hook part is formed by the handle, and the cup part is open to give another little cubby hole for storing something small (keys perhaps). It has a certain shabby chic charm, although I probably would want to limit its use to in the kitchen.

It costs $38 from Urban Outfitters. Or you could make one yourself if you can crack a cup in the right place!

Mr T hand doodled mugs by Tee and Toast

Mr_t

Loving these Mr T hand doodled mugs by Tee and Toast.

Totally unofficial, but all the better for it, the mugs are all one-of-a-kind (individually drawn especially for you) and feature the Mr T cartoon and a choice of 'I pity the fool that don’t drink tea' or 'make me some damn tea fool!' for the phrase.

No matter which you go for, the price is the same – £9.74.
