Vintage Apple Mac cufflinks

Apple_cuffs

I can honestly say that these vintage Apple Mac cufflinks are the most geeky things we’ve ever featured on Retro To Go.

Yes, those are Apple Mac keys, but not just any Mac keys – they’re apparently taken from a rare circa 1980 Apple III integrated keyboard, a pricey of kit in its heyday, selling for up to $8,000 at the time. And now it’s just spares for fashion accessories.

They come gift boxed and are certain to light up the eyes of the geek in your life – price is $74.95.

Artifort 1960s C683 sofa

C683

Looking every bit the contemporary seat, this Artifort C683 sofa is actually a 40-year-old design.

Yes, designed back in 1968 by Kho Liang Le, the C683 was created with comfort and simplicity in mind – a frame of pressed beech is upholstered with moulded foam, sat on a very ‘now’ metal frame and covered with a choice of coloured fabric or leather.

A timeless classic and yours for around £2,800.

Pierre Paulin 1950s Globe lounge chair

Globe

It might look like a refugee from the 1970s, but this Pierre Paulin Globe lounge chair actually dates from 1959.

Reissued by Artifort, the Globe lounge chair just screams ‘Bond villain’, with a disc aluminium base and stand for spinning around and a luxurious fabric finish, shaped very much for comfort.

Take your pick from a wide range of colours, with the chair selling for just over £1,500, the ottoman coming in for around £600.

Elie Tahari floral separates

Elie_print

Monochrome florals have been a perennial favourite among sleek fashion designers for decades, and it’s a look that never seems to age. Elie Tahari has used one such print on both a coat and skirt this season to create great looking pieces with high end retro chic.

The Veronica coat has a versatile A-line shape, which is quintessentially sixties thanks to the collarless boat neck and cropped sleeves. The skirt, meanwhile, combines the classic pencil shape with a more updated 1960s cut, taking it from a wiggle shape to something more daywear.

Each piece is available online from Neiman Marcus.
